Our press-on nails are made from thin and lightweight recycled ABS plastic. Each nail is finished with a painted design and sealed with a protective gel top coat. This combination provides a flexible yet durable structure that closely follows the shape of your natural nail. We comepare the durability and flexibility with a gel manicure on natural nail.
Many customers with sensitivities or allergies have been able to use our nails without any issues. However, because everyone’s body reacts differently, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that our products will work for everyone. The specific substances you are allergic to play an important role in how your body may react.
The gluetabs we use to attach the nails are a type of double-sided adhesive that sits on top of the natural nail. They are made of approximately 90% solvent acrylic (Ethylhexyl Acrylate) and 10% PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate).
The risk of a reaction is generally considered low, but it can never be completely ruled out. Our products are developed with care and consideration, but every body is unique.
If you are allergic to adhesives like plasters or bandaids you may also get a reaction from a gluetab.
We do not recommend using nail glue. Many traditional nail glues contain cyanoacrylate, a fast-acting adhesive commonly used in beauty products and medical adhesives. Cyanoacrylate is one of the substances most commonly associated with allergic reactions in nail products.
Most reactions occur when the adhesive comes into direct contact with the skin, especially around the cuticle area. With repeated exposure, some people may develop a sensitivity over time. Nail glue can also destroy the press-on nail which makes them no longer reusable.
Because of this, we recommend using our gluetabs instead of nail glue. Gluetabs sit on top of the natural nail rather than chemically bonding to it, which allows the nails to be removed more gently and reused.

There are currently no official recommendations from Swedish authorities or the EU advising people to avoid nail products during pregnancy. If there is a specific ingredient you personally prefer to avoid, you are always welcome to contact our customer support team. Our trained nail technicians will gladly help answer questions about our products and ingredients.
During pregnancy, it is common for the quality of your natural nails to change. Hormonal shifts can affect nail growth in the same way they influence hair growth.
Some people experience stronger nails that grow faster, while others notice that their nails become more fragile or start to split. These changes are completely individual and can vary from person to person.
After pregnancy, during the breastfeeding period, your nails may change again. Because the body prioritizes nutrients for the baby, some people notice that nail products do not adhere as well as usual. This can happen with any type of nail enhancement.
Press-on nails can be a practical and flexible alternative during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Switch Nails are easy to apply and remove, and they are fully reusable. If a nail comes loose, you can simply replace the gluetab and reapply it whenever you like. Another advantage is that press-ons allow you to do your nails whenever it suits you, without having to sit still for long periods or deal with strong chemical smells, which some people may feel more sensitive to during pregnancy. You also have the freedom to choose different lengths depending on the occasion, which can be a big advantage both during pregnancy and when caring for a newborn.
For many, this makes press-on nails a simple and comfortable way to enjoy a manicure whenever it suits their lifestyle.
If you are still unsure whether press-on nails are the right solution for you, our customer support team is happy to help answer your questions. Our professional nail technicians can also offer a personal consultation to help you find the Switch Nails shape that fits you best.
